The Stella/Harmony

Unfortunately, this item is now just a wall decoration. I purchased it, for $30 (no case), in 1985 from a music store in Carbondale, Illinois. I was going to England for several months and thought it would be easier to haul around than a guitar. Eventually it ended up going around the world with me. Hanging from the headstock is a baggage tag from MorFlot, the Soviet shipping line, on which I travelled from Siberia to Japan. It survived that abuse well, but could not withstand a cold, dry Chicago winter. It is now unplayable. The body has cracked, braces seperated, the top bellied. A sad sight. Had I been playing it more often I would have spotted what was happening and taken steps to save it (like getting a case for it) but alas!
